The journal is edited by the departmental section of Medieval History at the University of Jaén through the Publications Service of this university. The journal enjoys stable financial backing from the Publications Service at the University of Jaén, the Caja Rural de Jaén through this university, the Junta de Andalucía (The Autonomous Government of Andalusia), and the research group "Patrimonio Arqueológico en Jaén-Arqueología y Territorio Medieval" (GIPAJ-AyTM).
