CTS-283 Psychobiology

The Psychobiology research group studies the neurobiological mechanisms of learning, memory and motivational aspects as well as the psychobiological bases of addiction, particularly the connection between stress and the addictive consumption of alcohol, basically using animal models. A line of clinical neuropsychology is recently being incorporated.

This research group has specialized equipment in place, with the following being prominent among them:

  • Taste conditioning boxes
  • Place preference box
  • Metabolic registration boxes
  • Sand maze
  • Stereotaxic device for rodents
  • Smart 3.0 video-tracking system
  • Neuropsychological assessment tests
