Dr. Antonio Ruiz Medina Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry I was born in Jaén, Spain, in 1971 and grew up in this city. I
finished my studies in Chemistry at the University of Granada
(1994). In 1996 I was awarded a Ph.D. in the Department of Physical
and Analytical Chemistry at the University of Jaén, under the
supervision of professors Dra. Mª Luisa Fernández de Córdova and A.
Molina Díaz. I served as postdoctoral positions at both the
University of Florida (USA) under the mentorship of professor
Dr.J.D.Winefordner, and Vienna University of Technology (Austria)
under the mentorship of professor Dr.B. Lendl. In 2001 I became an
Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of
Jaén and two years later a Lecturer. My research interest lies in
the development of new automatic optosensors and also performing
research in atomic spectrometry and gas chromatography techniques. |
