Dr. María José Ayora-Cañada Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry I finished my Chemistry studies at the University of Granada (Spain) in 1993. I worked in the topic of flow-through optosensors and received my Ph.D. at the University of Jaén, Spain in 1998. Between 1999 and 2001 I shared my time as an Assistant at the University of Jaén and as a postdoctoral fellow with B. Lend at the Technical University of Vienna, Austria. Currently, my main research interest concerns the use of vibrational spectroscopy in combination with chemometrics and flow-based automatization sytems in a wide range of analytical applications ranging from agricultural and food commodities to objects of art and new materials.
