The University of Jaén is located in the province of Jaén (Spain), which is the main producer of olive oil in the world.

For this reason, the UJA has prepared an online Infoday for closing the 'III OLEA International Project Networking Event' on 30th April 2021. Within the framework of the olive sector, this event will offer the expertise of the European Commission (DG Agriculture and Rural Unit), the Spanish Office for Science and Technology in Brussels (regarding Horizon Europe) and the International Olive Council. Additionally, an analysis of how the Green Deal affects the province of Jaén will be carried out. International cooperation with Australian partners will also be fostered through an overview of their R&I needs.
