The “English Philology Studies - Linguistics and Stylistics” Research Group combines various areas belonging to the sphere of English Philology relating to the study of the English language and its literature.

  • Discursive stylistics Textual and contextual analysis of literary works
  • English synchronic descriptive linguistics: morphology, lexicology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics
  • Non-canonical literature in the English language: fantasy genre, Irish literature and postcolonial literature
  • Corpus linguistics - lexicographical application
  • Metalexicography of the English language
  • Functional analysis of English-language texts
