By plane

If you want to come to Baeza by plain, you should know that the Granada-Jaén Federico García Lorca is the closest airport. A taxi from the Airport to Granada Bus Station costs about 20€. There are also several buses that operate on a daily basis from the Airport to Granada Bus Station (3€ single ticket).  For more information, please visit:

http://www.autocaresjosegonzalez.com/index.php/es/servicios/bus-granada-aeropuerto.html

The best way to get to Baeza from the airport is by coach from Granada Bus Station (http://www.alsa.es/).

If you fly to Málaga Airport, there are buses connecting the Airport and Málaga Coach Station (1€ single ticket), from where you can take a coach to Baeza. See information above.

If you fly to Madrid (Madrid-Barajas Airport), take Metro line 8 (direction Nuevos Ministerios) to Nuevos Ministerios. Then take Metro line 10 (direction Fuencarral) to Chamartín Train Station. For trains to Baeza, see information above.

How to get to Baeza from Madrid Barajas Airport

If you arrive at Madrid Barajas, terminal 4 and wish to go to Chamartin Train Station there are a number of ways of getting there.

By taxi, I think it shouldn't take longer than 15 minutes as it is 11 km away, but this always depends on the time and the traffic. However, this is the most expensive option (probably at least 30 euros, and it could be much more, depending ontraffic etc).

You have information about the metro on this SEDERI web page but there is also a train going straight from Barajas Terminal 4 to Chamartin: www.aena.es

On the first floor of Terminal 4 there is a train stop (tren de cercanías, NOT the metro) with a train called "Tren de Cercanías RENFE, linea C1, Príncipe Pío-Aeropuerto T4. It takes 11 minutes to get to the first stop, which is Chamartin, costs 2.60€ a single ticket or 5.20€ for a return one, and runs every 30 minutes from 5.59 to 22.28 going from T4 to Chamartin, and for the return journey, from 6.02 to 23.32.

If you are not arriving at T4 then this train is not a possibility.

When you arrive at Linares-Baeza train station (NOT “ESTACIÓN DE LINARES”! Linares-Baeza is the stop immediately after Linares, coming from Madrid), you can take a taxi to your hotel in Baeza, or there are a few buses, depending on what time you arrive:

Every day there is a bus at 7.10 am and another at 15.45. It costs 2.71€ single or 4.88€ return. It takes an hour, probably because it stops at every single village there is on the way. However, in this case, I do recommend a taxi. There is a taxi stop just outside the train station and the phone numbers are also on this web page. It should take about 15 to 20 minutes at the most.
