All beneficiaries of an Erasmus+ international student mobility place are required to have a European Health Card and complementary Travel Assistance insurance before starting their international mobility, which covers at least the following contingencies:

The necessary coverages are:

1.- Travel Insurance, which includes damage or loss luggage.

2.- Medical assistance. (Insurance for accidents and serious illness, which includes temporary or permanent disability).

3.- Death Insurance, which includes repatriation and/or medical transport of injured, sick or deceased insured persons.

4.- Travel of a family member in the event of hospitalisation or death.

5.- Civil Liability.

You must request from your insurance company a certificate/report stating expressly that your insurance includes the above coverages, which you must upload to UMOVE. If the aforementioned coverage is not expressly stated, it will not be considered valid. (see report template).

Additionally, the beneficiaries of the Erasmus+ Internship Programme must have travel insurance, medical insurance and accident insurance.

All beneficiaries of an international mobility place to non-EU countries are required to take out insurance with at least the above contingencies. In many cases, the destination HEIs offer this service (with partial or complete coverage), which is recommended for greater agility in the processing of a possible medical file. In the cases of an agreement for the provision of services in the destination country through the Spanish Social Security System, please consult directly and in detail the coverage of the benefit in the destination country in the event of not taking out private health insurance.

There are different insurance companies that offer insurance for stays abroad, the insurance is valid with any company, as long as it meets the required conditions. One of these companies is the one indicated below.
