About me:

I hold a doctorate in English Philology from the University of Jaén. In addition, I have an MA in Spanish from Loyola University Chicago. I have been a professor in different national and international Universities: I taught Spanish language, culture and literature at Loyola University Chicago (2005-2010). After my return to Spain, I taught courses on English linguistics and on TEFL at Loyola University (2015-2020). Currently, I am an assistant professor at the University of Jaén, concretely at the Department of English Philology (2020-).

Regarding my research work, I have been a visiting researcher at Loyola University Chicago (2016) and at Georgetown University (2019). I have published articles in journals such as English Studies, European Journal of English Studies, Anglia, or Cervantes: Journal of the Cervantes Society of America. Together with Dr. Bosco (Georgetown University) I have also edited Reading Flannery O'Connor in Spain: Andalusia in Andalucía (2020), co-published by The Catholic University of America Press and UJA Press.
