The ADOTEC research group has been developing for more than 15 years two lines of research focused, on the one hand, on the mechanisms to achieve efficiency, flexibility and agility at a business and supply chain level and, on the other hand, on the impact of Information Technologies in the company.

These lines have been financed from seven competitive research projects at international, national and regional level. Likewise, the project was successfully completed in the first edition of the BBVA Foundation grants for research projects in Socio-economics (2014). These projects have been related to different industrial sectors, with special emphasis on high-tech sectors such as aeronautics and automobiles.

These projects have led to important conclusions that have had a significant impact on the scientific community in terms of publications, as more than 50 articles have been published in relevant scientific journals with Journal Citation Report (JCR) impact.

At the basic research level, these projects have allowed five doctoral theses to be defended (2 of them with international mention).

Likewise, their execution has had implications for business management through the publication of books oriented and adapted to the language of managers in prestigious publishing houses, such as Thompson-Civitas, Septem or Rama.

Also at the applied research level, the group has developed more than 20 knowledge transfer contracts in recent years and has participated in groups of experts in consultancy on management systems in the automotive industry.
