WHAT COMPETENCIES DOES THIS CERTIFICATE ACCREDIT?
The UJA Certificate in International Competencies recognizes key competencies for functioning in global academic and professional contexts.

Who can request this certificate? Any student enrolled in an official Bachelor's degree program at the University of Jaén.
My degree program has hardly any courses taught in English, will I be excluded from Block 1? Not at all! If your degree program doesn't offer enough courses taught in another language, you can cover those 12 credits by combining participation in Combined Intensive Programs (BIPs) and/or language courses with CEALM or NEOLAiA Alliance credits.
Does any type of internship abroad qualify? Yes, as long as it is done under the Erasmus+ KA131 Traineeships program and has a minimum duration of one month.
What are the COIL projects in Block 3? They are online collaborative learning projects integrated into your regular courses. You'll work in teams with students from foreign universities on specific tasks (minimum 5 hours), all without leaving Jaén!
Do I have to pay anything for the certificate? Yes, the issuance of the certificate is subject to the official public price established by the Junta de Andalucía for academic services.
Can I request it right before I graduate? Yes, but do it well in advance! It's essential that the certificate is officially granted before you formally request your Bachelor's degree, so that it can be included in your academic record and your Diploma Supplement.
Do I need to have completed an international mobility program?
Yes, it is necessary to demonstrate international experience within one of the recognized programs.
Which language certificates are valid?
Those officially recognized by the University of Jaén and CEALM.
Can I combine BIPs and language courses?
Yes, as established in the call for applications.
Does the certificate appear in the SET?
Yes, it can be added to the European Diploma Supplement.
