4 grants for a mobility stay or as an extra-curricular internship to study at the IFAO (French Institute of Oriental Archaeology) ceramotheque in Cairo, Egypt. 2 places will be reserved for postgraduate students (Master or PhD) and 2 places for teaching or research staff members of the Research Group HUM458 Egyptology and Papyrology, in case of not filling the places of any group of applicants, the vacancies for the other group may be accumulated.

Target group:

Students, researchers or teacher-researchers.

Requirements for students:

  • To be postgraduate students of the University Master in Advanced Studies in Cultural Heritage: History, Art and Territory, or in doctoral studies.
  • Level B1 of English or French.


Requirements for researchers or teacher-researchers:

Selection criteria:

The following criteria will be assessed in the selection process (maximum score 150 points).

  • For the selection of students, the average mark that gave them access to postgraduate studies will be taken into account (up to 50 points).
  • The accredited language level (for having and accrediting a level of English or French higher than B1, B2 will be valued with 15 points, C1 with 25 points and C2 with 50 points). The language level will be assessed by the Centre for Advanced Studies in Modern Languages.
  • Letter of motivation (maximum 25 points).
  • Curriculum Vitae (maximum 25 points).
  • The following criteria will be taken into account for the selection of teaching staff (maximum 200 points):
    • a. Proposed work report for the stay at IFAO. Up to a maximum of 50 points. The Vice-Rectorate for Internationalisation will determine the body responsible for assessing this report.
    • b. Being or having been coordinator of international mobility agreements. 5 points will be awarded per coordinated agreement, up to a maximum of 25 points.
    • c. Participate in offering training in the PATIE Programme in the 2020-21 academic year. It will be valued at the rate of one point per credit multiplied by the language level of the subject (1, 2 or 3) up to a maximum of 25 points.
    • d. Letter of motivation (maximum 50 points).
    • e. Curriculum Vitae (maximum 50 points).

In order to be assessed for participation in the PATIE Programme, the applicant must indicate in the application form the PATIE Course Code to be taught during the academic year 2021/22, which can be found at the following link:

Duration:

The duration of the stay is 3 months. The mobility period will run from may 1st 2022 to july 31st 2022, depending on the political and epidemiological situation in the host country.
