The University of Jaén, through the NEOLAiA European University Alliance, is offering two spots in the Robotics course at Örebro University (Sweden). This course will take place at the university from July 14 to August 8, 2025.
THE COURSE
This summer school in robotics will focus on the development and implementation of mobile robots using the Robot Operating System (ROS). The summer school is divided into two parts, starting with an introductory week that presents the basic functionalities and concepts behind ROS. The remaining weeks focus on the practical development of autonomous mobile robots by implementing methods and techniques commonly used to develop autonomous systems. Through group project work, you will collaborate to develop your autonomous mobile robots, which will ultimately be tested in a robot competition during the final week of the summer school.
Upon completion of the course, participating students will receive a transcript certifying 6 ECTS credits.
FUNDING
The University of Jaén is offering 2 spots for this course, which will be funded through the NEOLAiA Short Stay Grant. Applicants must ensure they meet the requirements for this grant (see section 2 of the document).
REQUIREMENTS

Be enrolled in the current academic year in a degree program at one of the Polytechnic Schools of the University of Jaén.

Have completed at least 45 credits, with at least 15 of them in the field of computer science, including programming.*

Have a certified English level of at least B2 (the course is entirely taught in English).
*Students enrolled in a master's program may submit their undergraduate transcript to meet requirement 2.
