Dear international students,
The University of Jaén warmly welcomes all new international students participating in mobility programmes who have just arrived in Jaén.
In order to simplify the adaptation process and make these first few weeks easier, the Vice-Chancellor’s Office for Internationalisation has organised a series of welcome days with various activities. These sessions are designed to provide basic and useful information, introduce you to your new city and help you settle in during these first few weeks.
WELCOME DAYS (16/02/2026 – 20/02/2026)
Provisional programme
Monday 16 – Reception for international students – Jaén Campus
09:30 – 10:00 – Aula Magna (Building C1)
- Welcome address by the Vice-Chancellor for Internationalisation.
Mandatory attendance for all international exchange students.
10:00 – 11:30 – Technical sessions - Venue: Aula Magna, Building C1
Technical conference, compulsory attendance for all international exchange students.
- 10:00 – 10:30 Presentation by the Vice-Chancellor’s Office for Internationalisation.
- 10:30 – 11:00 Presentation by the International Relations and Cooperation Service.
- 11:00 – 11:10 Presentation by the Centre for Advanced Studies in Modern Languages (CEALM).
- 11:10 – 11:20 Presentation by ESN.
- 11:20 – 11:25 Closing of the day.
Technical session: mandatory attendance for all international exchange students.
- 19:00 – International Dinner – Venue: Basement, building A3
Organised by ESN (European Student Network).
Tuesday 17 – Jaén
10:00 – 13:00 – Meeting point: Pl. los Caños, 23004 Jaén
- Churros and Hot Chocolate Breakfast at Baños del Naranjo
- Jaén Ambassadors at Jaén City Hall
- Reception at the Provincial Council of Jaén
(The group will walk there together with the internationalisation staff)
- Guided tour of the Provincial Palace

Wednesday 18 – Jaén
Jaén Campus: activities
- 10:00 – 11:25 – Tour around Jaén Campus - Meeting point: Main entrance to the Rector’s Office, Building B1 (at 10:00)
- 10:10 - 10:40 CRAI and Library
- 10:40 - 11:25 Campus visit
- 11:30 - 12:15 Visit to the Sports Service (Jaén Campus)
Reception by the Sports Service and tour of the University of Jaén's sports facilities
- 17:30–18:30 – Guided tour of the historic centre - Meeting point: Baños Árabes, Pl. Sta. Luisa de Marillac, s/n, 23004 Jaén
Free admission until full capacity is reached (limited places).
Thursday 19 – Jaén
- 11:00 – 12:30 – Olive oil tasting (visit to an olive oil mill) - Meeting point: Main gate of the Campus on Ben Saprut Street at 10.30 to pick up the bus

Linares Campus: activities
- 10:00 – 10:45 – Welcome session on international mobility (key information for your stay) - Venue: Boardroom, General Services Building, EPSL:
Includes speed friending, an informal coffee meet-up, opportunities to practise different languages, and information on how to learn Spanish during your stay at the university.
- 11:00 – 13:00 – Coffee with Buddies - Venue: EPSL Cafeteria
