Personal Health Data Management

  • Course Description


The Focus Academy course in Health Personal Data Management aims to train participants in the collection, processing, visualization, and management of health data using ICT technologies, in line with Digital Transformation. The course will focus on ICT tools, strategies for user engagement, and managing security and privacy issues, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical frameworks. Standard techniques and data modeling, such as the FHIR model, will be examined, and the data lifecycle in the health context will be discussed. Furthermore, stakeholder engagement and the relevance of personal data protection in accordance with regulations like GDPR will be addressed. The course will be interdisciplinary, with collaboration from academic institutions and industry experts, combining theoretical knowledge with practical and ethical applications. This course is free for students who are accepted (including leisure activities during the in-person week in Salerno). If selected, you will be granted a scholarship through the NEOLAiA Erasmus+ KA131 Short Stays/BIP (Blended Intensive Programme) 2023/24 and 2024/25 Mobility Call from the Vice-Rectorate of Internationalization.

To apply for a place in this course, you must be enrolled at the University of Jaén in the current academic year in one of these programs and have a sufficient level of English (minimum B2) to follow a course in this language and interact fluently throughout its development. It is also essential to meet the necessary requirements (section 2 of the call) to be eligible for the Erasmus+ scholarship linked above.
