Objetive

The purpose of this modality is to co-finance short-term research stays abroad for predoctoral researchers holding a predoctoral training contract at the University of Jaén. It aims to promote international mobility and facilitate obtaining the International Doctorate Mention. Stays must focus on carrying out strictly research-based activities at a prestigious host institution, aligned with the doctoral thesis work plan.

  • Requirements specified both in the general regulations and in the text of the corresponding call.
  • Stays with a duration of three months. The stay must take place within the four-year period of the grant award and before its expiration.
  • Co-funding will be provided by the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer, in accordance with the concepts and limits defined in the call (travel, accommodation, maintenance, and/or insurance, if applicable).
  • The stay must take place at an international R&D center (university, public research organization, technology center, or equivalent research center) and must have formal acceptance from the host institution.
  • The stay must be directly linked to the doctoral thesis and aligned with the corresponding doctoral program.
  • Applications for teaching-related activities will not be co-financed.
  • Applications must be submitted within the deadline and format established in the corresponding call.

  • Be enrolled in a doctoral program at the University of Jaén and have an approved research plan or equivalent, pursuant to the program's regulations.
  • Have the approval of the thesis supervisor and, where applicable, the Academic Committee of the doctoral program, certifying that the stay contributes to obtaining the International Doctorate Mention.

Application Formalization

Applications must be submitted through the Electronic Office of the University of Jaén, attaching the documentation required in the call. This must include, at minimum: acceptance letter from the host institution, work plan for the stay, report/approval from the thesis supervisor, and required academic/administrative documentation. Call open year-round (or as established in the corresponding call).
