C.3.c. Ayudas para la certificación de equipamiento científico-técnico.

  • Objetive

The objective of this action is to co-finance the cost of certifying scientific-technical equipment belonging to UJA research teams to ensure it meets the required quality, safety, and precision standards. By securing certification from entities such as AENOR or similar organizations, the initiative aims to provide a competitive advantage for our research staff when applying for research project funding, pursuing accreditations in scientific excellence programs, or performing testing services for companies and institutions.

  • Conditions

    • Co-financing: Grants are intended to co-finance the costs associated with the certification process for scientific-technical equipment. The grant amount will be a maximum of 50% of the total cost and will not cover expenses related to equipment upgrades or non-essential certification requirements.

    • Equipment Status: The equipment to be certified must be in active use and meet the technical requirements specified in the call to be eligible.
    • Certifying Entity: The certification process must be carried out by a recognized organism with official accreditation.
    • Letters of Interest: Applications must include letters of interest from companies and/or institutions demonstrating a verifiable interest in using the equipment to be certified. These letters must state the commitment of these entities to utilize the certified equipment and outline the value added by the certification to their activities.
  • Applicant Requirements

    • Must be the Principal Investigator (PI) of the project or research team under which the equipment to be certified was acquired, or a member of said research team authorized by the Principal Investigator.

    • Any additional requirements set forth in the general regulations or the text of the call for applications.
  • Application Submission

Applications must be submitted through the Electronic Office of the University of Jaén (Sede Electrónica), attaching all required documentation specified in the call.

  • Evaluation Criteria

Those established in both the general regulations and the text of the call.

  • Obligations of Beneficiaries

Beneficiaries of the grant must:

  • Comply with the certifying body's requirements throughout the process, including audits and technical reviews.
  • Commit to maintaining the certified equipment in proper working order and ensure it is used in accordance with the purposes stated in the application.
  • Provide all information requested by authorities or the certifying entity regarding the certification process and its impact on research activities.
  • Any additional obligations established in both the general regulations and the text of the call.
