Objetives
This initiative aims to improve the transfer of research results generated at our university, enhance collaboration through joint projects or research contracts, and contribute to the transfer of knowledge generated at the University of Jaén by providing space to external entities wishing to be hosted in University of Jaén facilities.
These entities must use the assigned space to carry out research, technological development, and innovation activities, and/or to develop collaborative R&D&I projects with research teams from the University of Jaén.
The assistance provided under this action does not involve a direct financial incentive for the hosted entity; instead, it consists of a rent exemption calculated based on specific parameters met by the entity, such as technology transfer contracts with UJA research teams, development of collaborative R&D&I projects, and/or any other activity that significantly promotes knowledge transfer at the University of Jaén.
Conditions
Three types of hosting options are available to adapt to the diverse needs of interested entities:
- Individual Hosting: Provides external entities with exclusive space within UJA facilities. Designed for entities that require a customized environment for their operations, offering the possibility to personalize the space according to the entity's preferences.
- Shared Hosting: Offers external entities the opportunity to share space with other organizations. Suitable for entities seeking a collaborative, dynamic environment that do not require an exclusive room, featuring customizable space options and dedicated storage areas.
- Virtual Hosting: Designed for external entities that do not require a permanent physical space within our facilities but wish to benefit from direct contact with the academic and research environment of the University of Jaén or access available technological resources.
Applicant Requirements
Those established in both the general regulations and the specific text of the call.
Application Submission
Applications must be submitted through the Electronic Office of the University of Jaén (Sede Electrónica), attaching the required documentation specified in the call.
Evaluation Criteria
The OTRI management will review applications based on alignment with university objectives, proposal feasibility, the activity/action plan submitted by the external entity, and the availability of the requested hosting type.
Obligations of Beneficiaries
- Mid-term activity report: Halfway through the support period, the external entity must submit a progress report featuring performance indicators aligned with the initial goals to extend the stay through the end of the grant period.
- Final justification report in accordance with the call.
- Any additional obligations established in both the general regulations and the text of the call.
