Objetives
Projects developing new strategic research lines at the UJA, in alignment with the strategic lines of S4Andalucía 2021-2027, the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy (EECTI), the priority lines set by the European Commission (EC), and lines linked to the territorial development of the province of Jaén. The objective is to fund research projects whose results generate an impact across various scientific or technical fields, seeking cutting-edge concepts, solutions, and applications in different scientific disciplines.
Conditions
- Those required by both the general regulations and the corresponding call text.
- Two-year project duration (maximum €10,000/project).
- Subject to budget availability, a maximum of two projects per branch of knowledge will be funded.
Applicant Requirements
- UJA teaching and research staff holding a PhD, with a contractual relationship with UJA throughout the entire period of the grant.
- Have no existing funding for the requested project.
- Projects may have a Principal Investigator (PI) and a Co-PI; both must meet the above requirements.
- For research team members:
- Internal members: UJA teaching and research staff holding a PhD, with a contractual relationship with UJA throughout the entire period of the grant.
- External personnel: Must obtain authorization from their home institution ensuring their affiliation throughout the entire period of the grant.
Submission of Applications
Applications must be submitted via the Electronic Office of the University of Jaén (Sede Electrónica), attaching all documentation required in the call.
Evaluation Criteria
The call will establish the evaluation criteria, considering the proposed project report, the feasibility of the planned activities, the competitiveness of the submitted proposal, and the applicants' Abbreviated Curriculum Vitae (CVA).
Beneficiary Obligations
- Carry out the planned work program.
- Submit a final project report to the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer.
- Obligation to apply for funding under regional, national, or international competitive calls launched during the project period and the following year.
- Obligation to disseminate the project's scientific results.
