Objetives
Support for teaching and research staff at the University of Jaén (UJA) in preparing international research project proposals that have not previously been submitted to international calls, through financial support to carry out any of the following actions:
- Hiring external consultancy services for writing, reviewing, pre-evaluating, and advising on project proposals.
- Attending info days, networking events, or workshops directly related to the preparation of proposals for international project funding calls.
Both actions may be combined, provided they do not exceed the financial allocation awarded to the applicant.
Conditions
- As specified in both the general rules and the text of the corresponding call.
- Maximum funding limits are established based on the funding programme and whether the University of Jaén coordinates the proposal or participates as a partner:
- European Framework Programme (UJA as coordinator): Up to €6,000
- Other international programmes (UJA as coordinator): Up to €3,000
- European Framework Programme (UJA as partner): Up to €2,500
- Other international programmes (UJA as partner): Up to €1,250
The final amount will be determined by the OFIPI (International Projects Office) Directorship based on the documentation submitted by the applicant.
- For European Research Council (ERC) project applicants who pass the first stage, an additional allocation is provided to cover travel expenses for interview preparation. This allocation is awarded automatically in accordance with the conditions set out in the call.
- Applications for this funding line must be submitted no later than two months prior to the deadline of the target call.
- Travel expenses for attending consortium preparation meetings or general-interest events and workshops.

- COST Actions
Applicant Requirements
Be the Principal Investigator (PI) of the proposal and hold a permanent academic affiliation with the UJA; otherwise, obtain approval from the Vice-Rectorate for Teaching and Research Staff and the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer.
Submission of Applications
Applications must be submitted through the University of Jaén’s Electronic Secretariat (Sede Electrónica), attaching the documentation required in the call.

Evaluation Criteria
Approval from the OFIPI Directorship in accordance with the conditions established in the call.
Beneficiary Obligations
- Project submission commitment: Beneficiaries are required to submit a project proposal for the call identified in the application during the year the grant is awarded or, failing that, the following year.
- Change of call: In duly justified cases and subject to prior approval from the OFIPI Directorship, modifications to the target call will be permitted.
- Consequences of non-compliance: Failure to submit the project as established will require full reimbursement of the awarded grant.
- General compliance: Requirements specified in both the general rules and the text of the corresponding call.
