Flow through optosensing

The studies we are currently performing in this research area are dealing mainly with the development of automatic flow-through optosensing. We have successfully implemented new automatic methodologies for sampling and reagents handling, such as multicommutation or sequential injection analysis (SIA), in the development of luminescence optosensors. We are mainly working in the clinical and food research fields, with the aim of obtaining simple, inexpensive and environmentally-friendly detection methods. The main luminescence detection techniques we are nowadays using are chemiluminescence, photochemically induced fluorescence and terbium-sensitized luminescence.
