It will provide you with comprehensive training in Geomatic Engineering, a modern concept that is Used worldwide, whose importance is growing due to the massive use of information and communication technology (ICT), artificial intelligence and satellite technology in the field of geoinformatics.
The Higher Polytechnic School of Jaén (EPSJ) is the only School of engineeringin Andalusia to offer this degree programme. More information can be found at EPSJ and GeomáticaES, an initiative developed by public universities in Spain to promote the study of geomatics.
The programme covers disciplines such as cartography, photogrammetry, remote sensing, surveying or geodesy, among othersgeodesy. It also coverstechnologies such as geographic information systems (GIS), satellite navigation (GPS, etc.), mobile applications, big data processing, smart cities, digital image processing and virtual reality.

The University of Jaén’s policy is to centralise the use of the spaces on the campus in order to optimise their occupation while meeting the specific needs of the courses delivered. These shared facilities will be used in part during this degree programme. Although they are not exclusively for use by the students on the programme, it is important to acknowledge their presence as the University allocates certain time slots and facilities to each degree programme from among the available classrooms, laboratories and IT rooms depending on the specific needs of the programmes and in coordination with the other courses taught at the University.
