Employment opportunities

Every two years, UJA launches a Research Support Plan to boost our research staff’s career development. The plan also provides for funding to recruit research talent. However, if you are interested in leaving Spain and looking for work abroad, a variety of online platforms and initiatives are available to help make your job search a success.

Employment opportunities

Firstly, we highly recommend visiting the Jobs & Funding section on the EURAXESS portal. You can search for employment opportunities on the portal using the following filters: area of interest, research experience, country and funding programme. The roll-down menu for ‘country’ allows you to select countries outside Europe, including Australia, the USA, Brazil, Jordan and India.

A second option for searching for academic posts in research and teaching all over the world is the portal ProfessorPositions.com, which features employment opportunities in the following regions: Oceania, Europe, Asia, North America, Africa and the Middle East.

Employment opportunitiesThirdly, if you wish to stay in Europe, another European Commission initiative is the EURES (European Employment Services) portal, which published more than 3,305,000 jobs in July 2021.

According to the website, EURES is a European cooperation network of employment services launched in 1994 and designed to facilitate the free movement of workers [...] despite language barriers, cultural differences, bureaucratic challenges, diverse employment laws and a lack of recognition of educational certificates across Europe

Finally, several Spanish search engines are available for finding jobs abroad, including Infojobs and Infoempleo.
