Objetives
Projects that develop new strategic research lines at UJA, aligned with the strategic lines of S4Andalucía 2021-2027, the Spanish Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation (EECTI), the priority lines established by the European Commission (EC), and lines tied to the territorial development of the province of Jaén.
The goal is to fund research projects whose results generate an impact across various scientific or technical fields, seeking innovative concepts, solutions, and cutting-edge applications in different scientific disciplines.
Conditions
- Those required both in the general regulations and in the text of the corresponding call for applications.
- Two-year projects (maximum of €10,000 per project).
- Subject to budget availability, a maximum of two projects will be funded per branch of knowledge.
Applicant Requirements
- Must be UJA teaching and research staff holding a Ph.D., with a contractual link to UJA throughout the entire period of the grant.
- Must not have any existing funding for the requested project.
- Projects may have a Principal Investigator (PI) and a Co-PI, both of whom must meet the above requirements.
- In the case of research team members:
- Research team members must be UJA teaching and research staff with a Ph.D. and a contractual link to UJA throughout the entire period of the grant.
- External personnel must have authorization from their home institution guaranteeing their employment/affiliation throughout the entire period of the grant.
Submission of Applications
Applications must be submitted through the Electronic Office (Sede Electrónica) of the University of Jaén, attaching the documentation required in the call.
Evaluation Criteria
The call for applications will establish the evaluation criteria, taking into account the proposed project description, the feasibility of the planned activities, the competitiveness of the proposal, and the applicants' Abbreviated Curriculum Vitae (CVA).
Beneficiary Obligations
- Carry out the planned work program.
- Submit a final project report to the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer.
- Obligation to apply for project funding in competitive regional, national, or international calls launched during the duration of the project and the following year.
- Obligation to disseminate the scientific results of the project.
