UJA RESEARCH

This is a strategic line aligned with the guidelines of the State Plan for Scientific, Technical, and Innovation Research (PEECTI) and the objectives set by the European Union, designed to strengthen and expand our university's research capacity. This Plan is framed within a global context that demands greater integration of science and innovation in solving social, economic, and environmental challenges. UJA, conscious of its role as an engine for territorial, regional, and national development, has drawn up a set of actions and programs that not only reinforce academic excellence, but also promote interdisciplinary collaboration and the internationalization of research.

UJA Research is structured around two fundamental programs: The first program is UJA Investiga, which aims to boost research activity through calls for projects of diverse nature to foster the leadership of young researchers, the establishment of new research lines at our university, or support for our research staff in securing funds from international, state, and/or regional calls. The second program, UJA Talento, aims to encourage and facilitate the retention, attraction, and consolidation of research talent. These pillars are designed to foster a dynamic and resilient research ecosystem capable of attracting and retaining high-level researchers and contributing significantly to the generation of knowledge, with a special emphasis on the development and competitiveness of the territory.

Within this strategic line, two programs have been defined, each featuring several actions designed to drive research activity and strengthen human resources in research. These actions range from incentivizing research projects—for both junior and senior research staff—to training and promoting research talent.
