Action R.2.c. Support for the Recruitment of Excellent Research Personnel at the University of Jaén

Objetive

To incentivize the recruitment of distinguished research personnel at the University of Jaén: beneficiaries of the Ramón y Cajal program, the Beatriz Galindo program, or the European Research Council (ERC) program (Starting, Consolidator, or Advanced Grants).

Conditions

Beneficiaries of the Ramón y Cajal program may apply to the Research Committee for a 4-year predoctoral contract plus a €20,000 financial incentive or, alternatively, request a 3-year postdoctoral contract (access contract for doctoral research personnel) pursuant to Law 14/2011 of June 1 on Science, Technology, and Innovation. Choosing this second option implies the express waiver of the €20,000 incentive.
Beneficiaries may allocate and distribute this amount to cover travel and relocation expenses, and/or expenses related to the research project to be conducted.
Should the beneficiary require it, the University of Jaén will cover accommodation costs in the university apartment building during the first six months of the contract.
The special conditions offered to distinguished researchers under the Beatriz Galindo program differ: researchers under this contractual category will only be entitled to request a 4-year predoctoral contract from the Research Committee.
