What is Eramus+?
Erasmus+ is the EU programme that supports education, training, youth and sport in Europe. Within this framework, Erasmus+ has been for years the main reference in international mobility for this University.
The Erasmus+ programme, through the Individual Mobility Actions (Key Action KA1), offers students the opportunity to undertake studies at a Higher Education Institution (HEI) and/or a traineeship in a HEI or company.
Currently, Action KA131 of the Erasmus+ programme includes mobilities within the so-called ‘Programme Countries’ (European), while Action KA171 extends this possibility to and from the so-called ‘Partner Countries’ (non-European).
Being part of the Erasmus+ Programme allows students to live a mobility experience in an international environment, with a language and culture different from Spanish, and with the corresponding academic recognition in the University of origin, either through credits for curricular studies and placements or through their inclusion in the Diploma Supplement in the case of extracurricular placements.
More information on the programme can be found on the European Commission's programme page.

Erasmus+, through its Key Action 1, is the main funding programme for international mobility. However, there are mobility alternatives that allow students to carry out stays in other regions of the world such as America, Asia and Oceania. The University of Jaén finances or participates in different programmes in order to allow UJA students to broaden their knowledge in the different areas of study of their degrees and to facilitate their approach to the culture of a different country. Among the different alternatives, the UJA Grants of the University of Jaén's Own Internationalisation Plan stand out, which is financed by the University's own funds and is part of the internationalisation strategy of our university, in order to facilitate mobility to regions and countries different from and complementary to those covered by the Erasmus+ programme funds. In addition, the UJA participates in the programmes of the Ibero-American Postgraduate Association (AUIP), in the Ibero-American International Mobility Programme of Andalusia (PIMA), and makes available to the community, complementary aid through agreements signed with various institutions, such as Santander Universities, the Provincial Council of Jaén or City Councils of the province of Jaén.

The Exchange System between Spanish University Centres (SICUE) is a national mobility programme for university students, promoted by Crue-Asuntos Estudiantiles and Crue-Internacionalización y Cooperación, which has been in operation since 2000. This programme allows undergraduate students to spend a period of study in a Spanish university institution other than the one in which the student is enrolled, with guarantees of academic recognition and achievement, as well as suitability for their curricular profile.
This exchange system takes into account the educational value of the exchange by allowing the student to experience different teaching systems, including the internship system, as well as the different social and cultural aspects of other Autonomous Communities and Autonomous Cities.
Student exchange is based on trust between institutions, transparency of information, reciprocity and flexibility.
