The mission of this strategic line is to promote and encourage the participation of our research personnel in competitive calls for international research projects, primarily within the European Union's Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (R&D+i).

Additionally, this strategic line seeks to enhance the international positioning of University of Jaén researchers, aiming to leverage the institution's increased research visibility to boost its participation in international research projects.

Promoting participation in competitive calls must go hand in hand with encouraging researchers to acquire the skills, abilities, and expertise needed to write and manage international projects.

Similarly, actions aimed at retaining international talent within our institution will positively impact both the university's global standing and its participation rate in international project proposals.

In this context, internationalizing research at the University of Jaén serves as a strategic pillar of its commitment to HR Excellence in Research, helping foster favorable institutional conditions for mobility, professional development, and the international reach of research staff, aligned with the principles of the HRS4R badge.
